Do you offer in office whitening?
Why yes, we offer two different whitening options. You can choose between take home whitening trays, or Zoom in office whitening.

What is the microscope used for?
Dr Thompson is one of the first general dentist to incorporate an intraoral microscope into his practice. It allows for a closer view of the area being treated to minimize the amount of tooth structure being removed.

What if I need to cancel my appointment?
We understand that sometimes things interfere with the best laid out schedule and changes need to be made. We ask for a minimum of 24 hours notice for all cancellations of your reserved time. For less than 24 hours notice, a cancellation fee starting at $50.00 can apply.


Dental Assistant and Doctor Questions:

I just had a crown started, is there anything that I need to know before my next appointment?
Temporary crowns are placed on your tooth with very soft cement so the crown can be removed easily at your next appointment. It is very important to avoid any sticky or hard foods that could possibly lift your temporary off or break it. Such foods are caramels, gum, chips, pretzels, nuts, etc. Please try to chew on the other side of your mouth until your next appointment. Do not floss next to the tooth with the temporary crown unless you have been otherwise told. Rinse with a mild mouth wash in that area, this will work just fine until after your next appointment.

What do I do if my temporary crown does come off?
Schedule an appointment with the office right away so we can put it back on for you.

My tooth chipped over the weekend, what do I do???
As long as you are not having any severe pain, swelling, or bleeding, you should be okay to wait and call us Monday morning.

What do I do if I am having swelling and severe pain on the weekend?
Always call our office number. We have a rotating on call schedule with several excellent dentists in the area. If Dr Thompson is not available to see you, you can feel very comfortable knowing that one of these doctors will take the very best care of you.
